Apple devices are set to integrate Alibaba's Qwen AI capabilities, a move that has boosted Alibaba's stock performance and underscored the tech giant's expanding AI footprint. On July 15, Fast Technology reported that according to information from the Cyberspace Administration of China's official account, Alibaba confirmed Apple phones will directly access Qwen AI functions as part of their collaboration.

The news immediately impacted the stock market. On July 16, Alibaba's Hong Kong-listed shares rose over 4%, leading gains among major Chinese tech stocks like Tencent Holdings, Meituan, and Xiaomi Group.

Beyond the Apple partnership, Alibaba has ramped up AI offerings recently. On August 3, it launched the public beta of QwenWork—an enterprise AI agent product integrating three office intelligent agents, available to individuals and corporations via its official website. The same day, Alibaba released Qwen3.8, a 2.4-trillion-parameter foundational model with enhanced coding and professional office capabilities, per Fast Technology's report.

Earlier, on July 21, Alibaba introduced Qwen-Image-3.0, an advanced image generation model supporting up to 4.5k token long instructions, enabling complex diagrams with formulas, geometric shapes, and logical steps.
