ByteDance’s Doubao Work Officially Launches: AI Productivity Agent with Deep Feishu Integration

ByteDance officially unveiled Doubao Work on August 25, a new AI agent designed to enhance productivity. This intelligent tool can autonomously break down user goals into actionable tasks, leverage relevant tools, and推进 complex work processes. Users can download the Doubao Work PC version from the official website or access it directly via the latest Doubao PC app. Those who download, log in, or upgrade starting today will receive a 30-day free subscription as a promotional benefit.

A standout feature of Doubao Work is its deep integration with Feishu. With user authorization, the tool can access Feishu’s chat records, documents, meeting minutes, and schedules to gain context, understand objectives, identify issues, and deliver completed work efficiently.

The launch follows a series of strategic team restructurings at ByteDance. On July 30, the Feishu product team merged with the Doubao product team to form a new Doubao product team. In the GTM (market, sales, customer service) system, the Feishu GTM team was integrated with the Volcano Engine team. Post-restructuring, Feishu’s existing products and services remain unchanged, while Feishu and Doubao will collaborate more closely on productivity scenarios.

Another integration took place on August 24: the TRAE and Coze teams were fully incorporated into the Doubao system. TRAE Work and Coze will merge their capabilities with Doubao’s work scenario features, while TRAE IDE and CLI will continue to develop as part of Doubao’s programming product line.

For those eager to see Doubao Work in action, a live demonstration is scheduled for the evening of August 25. The session will showcase real business scenarios and highlight the tool’s core work capabilities.
