The help-center notes say GPT-6 with Intelligent UI starts for Plus, Pro, Business, and Enterprise, then Free and Go the next day.
Direct answer
OpenAI's ChatGPT release notes for 9 October 2026 say GPT-6 with Intelligent UI starts that day for Plus, Pro, Business, and Enterprise in the Chat tab, and expands to Free and Go the next day. Paid plans use GPT-6 Sol. Free and Go use GPT-6 Luna.
The ChatGPT release notes page, marked updated two days before this reading, puts two items under 9 October 2026. GPT-6 with Intelligent UI can mix text, visuals, and interactive elements, including side-by-side comparisons, diagrams, and in-conversation tools such as calculators, bill splitters, and games. It can still answer in plain text. The notes say GPT-6 can start answering while it continues to think or use tools, then add findings without another prompt. The rollout starts globally that day for Plus, Pro, Business, and Enterprise in the Chat tab, and expands to Free and Go starting the next day. Enterprise availability depends on workspace admin settings.
Plan names map to models on that page. Plus, Pro, Business, and Enterprise use GPT-6 Sol. Free and Go use GPT-6 Luna. Intelligent UI is available from Instant through Extra High reasoning. The Pro reasoning option continues to use GPT-6 Astra and does not support Intelligent UI. The notes say the models powering Work and Codex are not changing with this release.
Composer predictions stay a draft
The same date adds Composer predictions in beta. After Codex responds, a suggestion may appear in the message box. Tab accepts it, and the user can review or edit it before sending. Accepting a suggestion does not send it. The beta is for personal ChatGPT Pro users aged 18 and older, in all supported regions, in the latest Codex desktop app, on local and SSH threads using GPT-6 Astra or GPT-6.1 Sol. Predictions are on by default and can be turned off under Show predictions in the Composer section of General settings. During the beta, generating predictions does not count toward Codex usage limits or consume credits. Messages the user sends, including accepted predictions, follow normal Codex usage limits and billing.
