Doubao, a popular AI chatbot, announced the launch of its student-exclusive benefits on the evening of August 12 via its official account. The initiative aims to help college students handle complex academic tasks—such as research projects and creative work—by providing more usage quota and a discounted professional subscription.
Eligible currently enrolled college students can unlock these benefits after completing student identity verification. The student package includes two key perks:
1. Student-Exclusive Free Quota: Verified students receive 2.5 times the standard free usage quota, better meeting their daily learning needs.
2. Discounted Professional Plan: Students can subscribe to Doubao’s Pro Standard Plan at a special continuous monthly rate of 38 yuan, down from the original 68 yuan per month.
To claim the benefits, students need the latest version of Doubao’s desktop app and can follow either method:
- Enter Work Task Mode and send a message like “I want to claim the student discount” to Doubao, which guides through verification.
- Go to settings, access Doubao Pro subscription, select student benefits in the upper right, and verify identity via Douyin.
